Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome - Master Blaster

This must be a USism as I have absolutely no idea what you mean Sean:)
Mel Gibson Movie , Mad Maxx at Thunder Dome starring Mel Gibson and Tina Turner

Master was the midget. Blaster was the big guy in the helmet.

Just wanted to provide a quick update - NO ADVERSE EFFECTS pursuant to removing the igniter on the XXV. Overall this year I am seeing VERY clean burns...but, since I also added an OAK and switched pellet brands (softwood-heavy Fireside Ultra), I can't say with any certainty which of these changes has helped most. But, I can say for sure that I am continually seeing nice vertical unobstructed airflow from my burnpot - no "curled mustaches" or bowed-out flames at all, which I think is definitely attributable to the igniter being out of the way and not catching ash.

I think they are concerned with the smoke bothering their neighbors.
My neighbor? The one that smokes up the area with smoke from his outdoor wood furnace with a rain cap and short stack? That covers the road with a smoke bank? I can only hope my wisp of smoke pisses him off

Have a pretty good size burnpot so think I'll leave my ignitor in..
besides, I paid for it.....still under warranty...have seen for sale on Ebay exact specs of Harman Ignitor down to the exact lenght of the wires.
68.00..
I clean out the compartment every few days anyways but good theory goin there..

Yeah, I don't feel inclined to remove it from the P61A - lots of room inside there and haven't had any ash jam-ups around the ignitor like I was getting with the XXV.
