He said he was carrying GPS & a cell phone with Internet access...why didn't he at least set up a site where we could monitor his progress in real time? I'm just so uncomfortable not knowing where he is. :long: Rick
 
If not already mentioned, I would get a Sirius Satellite radio. You can listen to the same stations the whole way and get traffic and and weather updates as well. It's pretty cheap too.

Would have been a better trip with a dog along. :)
 
Did somebody mention a woodstove and wood for heat?

Somebody posted a sweet van with a stove in another thread. Might be worth looking at.
