I'm trying to track down a replacement latch for an old Stanley Stove - Model Waterford MH-11048

The side door handle has lost the latch piece that allows the door to shut - the handle just pulled out loose and I guess the latch and nut holding it on fell off but can't be found anywhere - probably swept up and thrown out with the ashes. I'm struggling to find anywhere to buy a replacement. Just the latch if possible but I'd buy a whole new handle if necessary.

MH-11048 does not ring a bell for a Waterford model. Usually they have either a 2 or 3 digit model like the 90 or 104, or a named model like the Leprachaun or Erin or Fiona.

Hi, I have the same stove. It is indeed an MH 11048, and the model is called Ashling. The stove is from the 1990s and has been discontinued.

Hi, I have the same stove. I don't know if this is helpful, but I found the manual online. Our stove model number is correct, and the stove is also known as the Ashling-- on the back of it, there should be two small metal plaques, one of them says Ashling on it, it's the same plaque as the one contains the US Environmental Protection Agency info. It's discontinued. The manual is here:

Hope you've been able to find a solution. I realize this post is over a year old.

Thank you! My Waterford Ashling manual doesn't mention the model number and is for the wood burning version. This one has riddling grates and is multi-fuel capable. Hopefully, the door catch part is the same -
