I used to work on big boilers and one trick I learned was to paint Never Seez on door gaskets. This was to keep your gaskets from tearing and to keepthem flexible when opening doors for maintenance / inspection. Would this be a good idea to use on pellet stove door gaskets? I know this is going to result in an odor until the gasket cures. Would it extend gasket life? Thank you.

Only ever saw one stuck and that stove was in storage in an unheated
Shead for better than 10 years and everything was stuck on from the door
to both Fans. As the saying goes "I was ridden hard and put away wet"

1992 stove, each door gets opened and shut at least twice a day in heating season, never seen a stuck door seal. Still on original seals.

some of the combustion blowers use a fiber type gasket but it was designed to only be used 1 time then replaced on the next change. (I keep a doz in my tool box) most are using the high temp silicone gaskets now which you can use over n over. i never thought of never seez i would just use a thin coat of petroleum jelly to adhere it to the blower for installation
