jay, I went to a local dealer in Waterbury who sales the ACP, he was actually burning them in a Croix and Harman Acentra stoves. He opened the front doors of the stoves and there was a lot of ash and flying ash, we also looked at the hoper and man, lots of fines mixed with the pellets. He had a temp reader at the heat exchange of the Harman and it was only reading just above 200 degrees. He was calling the ACP "crappy pellet".
With you, I wouldn't buy them..
mnkywrnch, I hear your opinion, ALL brands have fines, ones worst than others, but you could tell when you dump pellets in the hopper how much fines they have, I can tell by the dust.
I've seen brands where the fines were VERY minimal, you put your hand through the pellets in the hopper and it would come out almost clean.
I am hoping that the NEWP I ordered from BT are good to go.
Oh, BTW, I finished burning the bag of Napco and I wouldn't buy those either, lots of flying ash and the pellet size was larger than normal, just my opinion.
