I installed a new quad Castile insert 4 years ago, and I just had to replace the auger motor on mine last Saturday. It had been making a buzzing noise for a month. Then it started clicking softly, then more loudly to where it was getting annoying. Replacing it was pretty straight forward, other than you have to pull the insert out to get at the auger. And I was working by myself and the thing weighs a gazillion pounds and I put a big gouge in my nice sandstone hearth. <>

So it sounds similar to mine. Might as well order up a new motor now...
