Well last time I had a problem with my quad last month you guys were able to help me with it and fix it so here's to hoping you can this time as well
Yesterday afternoon when I got home from work the pellet stove worked fine (quad 1200 insert). About two to three hours after that we noticed a funny noise coming from the side the exhaust blower is on. It wasn't too weird just sounded like it was getting noticeably loud. A little bit after that it started squeaking a little. After about 5 mins max it went back to normal and then about an hour later made the squeaking noise for 5 mins and back to normal.
I kept the stove on last night and decided to stay in the living room to see if it would make the noise again when it started back up. The noise this time was HORRIBLE! It sounded like something was off balance and making what I guess I would describe as a rubbing or metallic noise. It got so loud I thought it would wake my husband up down the hall so I turned off the thermostat to get the stove turned off. This morning I just turned it on one last time before work and it is just as bad.
I believe the noise is coming from the exhaust blower. I am not sure but it seems to be coming from there. Any ideas on what or how to fix this? The only thing that stands out to me in the past few days was that when I filled the hopper one or two pellets fell where the clean out rod goes down into the machine. I don't know if maybe it got in the heat exchange tubes if that would be a problem or what else it would be.
Thanks to everyone who replies and for reading my long long post! You guys and gals are always helpful!!
