Just pd 270.00/ton and had tears in my eyes. Supplier said his shipper went under and still owed the mills mfgr for 2008's raw materials He thinks they will drop again this summer to close to last years price but of course no guarantee or early order lock in fee Bet its nice in Florida this time of the year

What brand?

SABBMaven,

What frosts my hind end is that I can buy stuff trucked clear across the country cheaper than what is less than 100 miles away.

Interesting. What I like about our free enterprise system is that I have a choice not just to buy product from clear across the country, but sell clear across the country as well.

Saabmaven--first of all I dont understand why the Vermont mills havent started producing them..? as that would help the supply demand there and create more jobs. second- isnt maine closer to you than georgia?? why arent the states closest to each other doing the trucking of pellets- sounds like bad business planning to me. third- for the cost of a generator- not bad- we just bought a small one-$300 that takes care of the stove -tv-and a couple of lights. We were going to get one anyways-but adding the pellet stove just bumped up the timeline. All in all- its still good to have an additional heat source for more than one reason. To h*** with trends & fads-we do what is best for our situation.
