Cool photos, Jags. I had only seen one of those, the boy on the tractor, who I think you called your grandson in an earlier post. Never saw that wagon, and I always love pic's of your splitters.
I'll match your elm with oak. This one stood over the picnic grove at Old Goshenhoppen Church (founded 1735'ish), until hurricane Sandy broke it off about 15 feet above the ground. Diameter was 60" where I cut the stump, and the rounds I brought home (all above that 15 foot height) were up to 49" diameter.Ask me about elm...or big rounds...I dare ya.
