Hello. I'm repairing my Phoenix Hearthstone, and I am perplexed by the schematics of my model and its parts in comparison to the other two Phoenix models manufactured. I assume I have the 8611; however, the parts diagram does not show ceramic boards, whereas mine has three baffle boards (3120-282, 3120-284) installed.

Does anybody know what mortar/seal is used to enclose the ceramic boards to the top casting? I need to chip away the old mortar/seal away, right?

I also have firebricks attached above the manifold, which isn’t shown in the diagram, and I haven't seen them anywhere online. I sent my local hearth shop an email explaining my situation, but they told me to look it up on hearthstonetech.com lol. I know these are some basic novice questions, but any help would be truly appreciated. Thank you.

What model does the UL label list on the back of the stove?

Heartstone sells their own specific refractory stove cement.

Hearthstonetech.com is a good resource for identifying the correct internals for you stove.

The only way I can reach the back of my stove is if I remove the flue. I'm about 90% positive I have the 8611 model, but it seems to incorporate the 8612 models ceramic board install. I've looked up and down on Heathstonetech.com to dial it down.

Do I remove the old stove cement that's enclosing the old three ceramic boards to the top casting?

I see what the concern is now. It's possible that this model is in between the 11 and the 12. I seem to recall this happening on other Hearthstones that were close to a transition year for model updates.

What work is being done? Stone replacement? If the ceremic boards need to be removed then they will need to be uncemented.
Is it possible that this is a model #8610?

Thanks for the help begreen. I believe I just need to replace the three ceramic boards with stove cement, and down the road I need to fix the ash door latch situation.
