Lemms, did you decide on the fresh air? If you go with it, be sure to check out the Selkirk vent. It looks way better than the standard 3", but not sure how you are venting. Also, if you plan to burn corn, make sure to vent it with corn vent, my understaning is that it is a bit heavier gauge stainless and will last a bit longer.

Well, guys thanks for all of the advice and information...
We went out Friday and purchased the Quad - Mt. Vernon. Now we just have to get it installed...
Should have been done already, but our weekend was pretty busy.
As for the fresh air kit... We aren't going to install it. The salesman didn't recommend it. So, we are going to try it without and see how things go.
We are installing it against an exterior wall, and are planning to run the exhaust straight out the exterior wall.
However, that means that we'll have to cut a hole thru the brick on the outside of that house wall. Not very excited about that... But we don't really want to run it out the ceiling either, if we don't have to.
Does anyone know if "pellet vent" and "B vent" are the same type of exhaust pipe?
My brother does heating & cooling and never heard of "pellet vent". He said that we should be able to just use "B vent". Any ideas?

You must use Pellet Vent. Pellet vent and B vent appear to be the same at first glance but Pellet Vent has a stainless steel liner and B vent uses an aluminum liner. The aluminum would not be able to handle the pellet exhuast.

Josh,
Thanks for the information... Now I know. I past that information on to my brother as well...
