Great pics! How's your cubex pellets? Heavy ash?

I love Cubex. Period. But this last 5 ton batch had some ups and downs. Over the years I have seen some strange batch variations with the Cubies. I have read all the chatter here over the years about Higher ash, different fuel colors, etc. and have been on board with the opinions. I am only 1 ton into my stash since last spring and have noticed some strange differences this year. Mixed pallets of different color fuels, different color bag interiors ( normally tan.....some white) different ash levels and fines levels depending on said bag types. One thing holds true about ALL the product......VERY high heat output! I don't mind cleaning every day if need be....the house is warm and the Wifey is happy! ;-) After all.....she feeds me, so I need to keep her warm. That all being said....I WILL purchase them again, just not in such high tonnage. There is some crazily clean and consistent fuel out there that needs my attention and bag fondling! :wow:

Well said! I totally agree with you. It's well worth the heat that the cubies produce. I'm hoping to grab some more sometime this spring. I just tried my first bag of barefoots and I was impressed with them.

Barefoots have always been very consistent and mucho high heat for me..... They have never let me down!

Keep posting more pics when you get a chance. It's interesting to see how other people store their pellets. Your stash is so neatly stacked up. Well done! I guess I'm not the only one who's obsessed about it.

Don't worry about Somersets being your best choice.....they are one of my new favorites. If it was more convenient for me to get them to my home I would purchase mucho tonnage! I went 65 miles south last weekend into Connecticut to get 25 bags and I love them! Very clean, high heat and they smell like a fresh-sawn oak board. They easily match Cubex for heat and fines content....and I think they have less ash! I am preparing myself to get shot by fellow Cubie people for saying that!

For a guy (Me) that thinks Somersets are his favorite (because its the best he can get). Makes me and ifixmy2 feel much better.

We cant get Okies, Cubex, Turmans, and Fir pellets here in Ohio....

I love them.. But dont have much to compare to. Have a couple brands that are close. But for price, heat, ash, and availability. Somersets are a Favorite. Normally had for about $200 a ton average ($175 at certain times of the yr).

Wow! Nice pics. Good pellets, but oh boy, that shiny red tractor. So clean. Even the tires are spotless. Last time I saw a tractor looking like that was at the fair where the dealers were trying to sell them.
The only equipment I ever got to operate was when I had a plow on my truck. I gave that up a few years ago when it was too costly to keep it fixed so I could plow other people's driveways.

But, I am building a shed today to store maybe three to four ton! What classification would that get me?

You guys are a riot! :lol: Let me clarify why I wrote ''6 plus tons" in my signature.......as of this moment I have about 7.5 tons assorted fuels stashed(Cubies, Okies Platinum, Okies DF , Barefoots, Somersets, Turmans, Logik-E, Blazers, North Idaho's, Curran Softies and last but not least.... GreeneTeam's) . Every year when my stash starts getting near the 6 ton mark I get nervous and sound the Klaxons! :bug: (alarms....for you non SAC Air Force Veterans). I then proceed to scour the countryside for my next score(s) :exclaim: Of course, by then I have already spent the better part of winter "Pigging-Out" on fuel and have already decided what my next puchase(s) will be.
3 or 4 more ton are purchased and loaded into the basement (between March and June of each year). Spring buys are always the best......around these parts anyways.
Over the last 7 years or so my stockpile has fluctuated between 5 and 11 tons on hand. The amount fluctuates up and down depending on the season. I don't want to change my Sig. constantly......so I'm saying 6 plus, and sticking to it! %-P The bottom line is, I always have way more fuel on hand than needed. Anyhow, I'm glad to be a member of a group of pellet hoarding Piglets, Pigs, Hogs, Super-Hogs, Hog-zilla's, and piggy wanna-be's!
