Awww yeah! Had a nice burn last night on the new 52i!! She throws some serious hot air!!
What an awesome setup! Looks great!

I just got done ordering my Harman Accentra 52i insert this weekend. Official install comes next month. Now the fun begins. I will be tearing out my old Temco DV 5200 propane unit and completely refacing the hearth and front with stone!!

Unit was $3,900 and change
Outside Air Kit
Log set (free thanks to $100 Harman coupon)
Zero Clearance box
Installation and taxes put us around $5200!

We love our Accenra FS, I am sure you will love your insert just as much. Congratulations.

House was 66 when I got home from work. Cranked up our Harman and it's now 76 downstairs and 77 upstairs. I'm still trying to figure out the settings, but man this things heats incredibly well. Might have to open the windows to cool the house off now haha.
For our first run, we left the feed rate between 3 and 4 and set the room temp to 75 and let it rip. After an hour, hour and a half, the stove started to back the flame down and maintained the room temperature perfectly! Inaugural run went off without a hitch. Can't wait to see how she tackles the sustained cold temps. Our projected highs around Halloween are supposed to be close to the upper 30s/low 40s. We'll probably get a few days in there to really stretch her out! So far, we are very pleased!

Yeah, if the log kit gets to be too much, I'll pull it out.
I'm already seeing some minor issues with the log kit. Not sure I'm going to keep it in. The big issue with it is that you need to lift it out to get a clean scrape on the burn pot. It lifts out easily enough, but the issue I'm seeing is that when you lift it out it drops ash all over the hearth. We all know how often you need to scrape the burn pot, so this could become a deal breaker for me. It looks good in there when it's running, but I'm not going to have that thing ashing up my living room. I don't like it that much :)

My wife is begging for one of those log kits. Let us know what you think of it.

Better still: roll that beautiful burn footage!
Then let your wife clean the stove! We'll see how long the log kit stays before it's relegated to a box in the attic. BOTH of mine are up there! Total waste of money!

I have been told by a couple of dealers that you actually use less pellets if you leave the temperature at one setting and don't lower when you leave the house and raise it when you return. One dealer experimented by raising and lowering the temp setting one week and then leaving the temp setting alone the next and in each case, less pellets were consumed with the steady temp setting. Anyone else experience this? My Accentra 52i is being installed Nov 1 and it would be a good thing to know.

I thought that applied to the steady burn setting and not the room temp setting. Not sure. I'm sure the answer is probably within this thread though: https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/how-your-harman-works-what-your-manual-doesnt-tell-you.91030/

Thanks. I have read that thread and think I understand it and cant wait to experiment with the different modes. The dealer said it had something to do with heating up objects and wall space back up to temperature and not just the air itself. He said it took less energy (pellets) to maintain objects and walls at the same temp than to keep bringing them back up to temp. Once I get my stove installed, I guess it will be easy enough to test this out myself.

I am in my second season and did all types of experiments lol.i found on room temp that it would eat more pellets and more ashy.on stove mode I have less ash and doesn't seem to eat as much.As far as putting high or low I keep it around 4 on stove mode for basic days and on cold single digit days I keep it on the number before the highest.i think it's 7 I never full blast it and always keep it in stove mode.thats what wrks best for me .

Welcome to club Harman! Sounds like a nice little project you have going on.
