A local Cl ad was advertising mixed hardwoods $128 per cord which is $1 per cu. Ft. Split (green for sure). Normally it would be around $300-$400 per cord. Mixed being the lower figure and 99% oak or hickory on the higher end. This coming from a semi desert area. Tells me prices may vary considerably across the states.

I have bought a cord of hardwood partially seasoned for $120. This was years ago when I first started burning but I know people who have bought it for that amount as recently as last year. It varies A LOT according to region.

.38 of a cord at those measurements.
That is not a full size bed. A full size bed is 8'
I haul similar size cord in my ranger and 3 bed loads is about 1 cord.
You can do better.

75 bucks is good. Gas was probably 10 between cutting, splitting & delivery. Just call it a day. Next time you order more tell him to be sure it measures out, maybe he can throw more wood on top. Overall not a bad price since it was delivered. Now if someone was making minimum wages 75 dollars is a lot of money so it better measure out or I'd be upset. however the young man can't be getting rich selling either, just a thought.......

I fill my 10x6 trailer with 2' sides and folks usually estimate my load at about a cord and a half. So I think it's common that people get shorted. They just don't know what a cord of wood looks like, so I think the wood sellers take advantage of that. Let him know he shorted you. How else will these guys have to start delivering a honest load if they don't have too.

I'm sure it's very common. Half the time, I don't think the sellers know what a cord is, either, especially the casual, part time guys.

That's what I ran into last year. Just a local family, nice people, trying to clear their land and make a few bucks. But they advertised a cord, so they made good on it.
