So far, not very cold this year. I avoid running the stove if I will overheat the house with contiguous burning. This saves a lot of wood and a lot of restarts.

About 1.2 cords here.

The stove has only gone cold a few times since mid October. Burned through about 3 1/4 cords of mixed oak, beech, ash and paper birch.

Just coming up on 2 cords, although I didn’t burn for about 3 weeks while I was switching out stoves. 90% Doug fir.

It's been an exceptionally mild winter so far. I saw some rhodies in bloom yesterday and the lilac buds are fat and green. So far we've used about a cord.

==chaven't heard from Ashful yet, probably embarrassed cause he most likely burnt up the whole forest so far. took a picture of his wood stash [Hearth.com] Oh not this chit again, how much wood ya burned this season?

3.5 - 4 cords. Thats just a SWAG with a healthy emphasis on the WAG. Either way, its only about half of what I burned last year at this time.

I stopped paying attention to how much wood I have gone through several years ago. When I am home the VC is on, reloaded more/less three times in a 24h period. When I am at the lake the Princess is on, reloaded more/less every 18 hours.

I have done 2-3 cords easily. Been burning non stop since early October. November was like january/february cold here so we went through more than anticipated. I have also been burning a lot of softer wood like poplar and birch so a cord doesn't last as long

~ 1-1/2 cords + 1/2 ton sawdust logs

Just over 1 cord so far with a bunch of no burn days like today. Very mild in the NE so far.

Maybe a cord and a quarter so far, really hasn't been to cold out yet, I'm waiting for winter here still.

Same here. Cord and a half a most. Coldest day was in the teens and that was once or twice. I will be ahead next year on wood. I’m usually good for 4 cords a winter sometimes 5

them wood furnaces will do that

havent ran the wood furnace this year, its all been the Austral. I can pretty much heat my whole home with it. Unfortunately i installed the wood furnace first and then realized i couldnt keep up with supplying its wood needs each year. Now it only gets run when its bitter cold to help the Austral keep up.
Was a waste of money really, but live and learn.

Just about 2 cord on the nose so far, burning since late October.

November really nailed me on wood usage, I normally use the minisplit until mid December. I have burned about a cord to date. December has been more seasonal so the minisplit is getting used a bit more. I am going into 2019 with about 1100 KW banked power so expect I will use the minisplit more often in the spring assuming the weather cooperates. I usually start running out of banked power in the spring so I normally taper off until the sun gets higher and days longer so I stay with surplus of power as I hate paying for power ;)
