Allrite, maybe not exactly scrounging but I get a call early this morning from a buddy that does field clearing. Says he's clearing a big lot for a guy who decided he didn't want to screw around trying to sell the cleared wood and just wants it out of there ASAP. How much ya got? I ask to which the answer is "I dunno, maybe 50 - 60 face cord, ash, maple, cherry and some oak." Call my bro-in-law, round up our teen boys and we spend the day cutting and carting. (Man I can see now why in the olden days the farmers went for raising a ton of boys, nothing like good hard-working conscripted labor). We're headed back tomorrow to pick up where we left off. BTW, the lot is less than 5 miles from my house, life is just good sometimes.
