Well, Sure enough, the convection motor shut off in an hour. The motor housing is way too hot to touch. I tried to plug the motor in directly to an outlet - motor would not run. So that would lead me to believe the convection motor is bad.

I will look into that tomorrow evening.

FWIW I replaced the convection blower on mine this fall with this https://www.grainger.com/product/DAYTON-PSC-Blower-1TDP5, it's quieter than the original and usually in stock at Grainger if you want to pick it up.

I think it stands for "employee".
Like some that end in "L" means Lowes...

Was $57 out the door, my companies price. This is the motor that was listed as part of the whole blower assembly.

There is a thermal cutout in the motor, that if it gets too hot (the motor) - it won't run, until it cools down...so the motor, might just be too hot - not dead.

Our PAH just did that, on the coldest night of the year, and pointing a box fan at it, cooled it enough to start working again, until we got the kitty hair out of the convection path (beat the crap out of it for now)

I had the motor out, it is clean. Looks like new. I actually had already pointed a box fan at it trying to keep it a little cooler. It's been going for about two hours and has not shut down yet.

I have not had the time to run up to Erie and pick up a replacement motor yet. I think once I get a new one installed, I'll be set. I hope. The stove in general is putting out some good heat.
