Yup, this is the new look. I like the old one much better.

No nice grille-work on the door certainly made it an easier choice for me to 'down-grade' from the T5 to the Super. I got a Sunburst door on the Super instead for an extra $25 (see avatar). With that and the optional legs ($85), it makes it much nicer for being the star of the living room.
The fan shutting off other than at low temp sounds like something is wrong. Never heard of them shutting off at high temps. My summit never does. I have my fan set on manual, full bore 24/7 unless I am loading, then I cut it full low, till back up to temp. Might want to let the dealer know. Either a bad sensor or maybe wiring? I'd say maybe sensor. Its working excellent.
Throwing a ton of heat in this -23*C weather. House isnt super hot, about 21*C, but Im not complaining. With the old stove it would be closer to 12-15. When it was warmer outside like -10*C there was so much heat I was kicking blankets off the bed. That hasnt happened in a LONG time!
It burns the wood up to a fine ash where the old one would leave lots of coals.
Soaks heat up like a sponge and radiates it for a long time. After about 9-10 hrs the stove is still at about 200-300*F STT. when the outside temp is warmer. Im riding it a bit hard now because of the cold, and trying to keep the STT up into the 500-700 range.
Typical cruse temp with the draft basically shut off is 625-650 STT. Nice secondaries.
One issue Ive seen lately while running above 650 is that the blower will shut off and cycle on and off, maybe in 10 minute cycles while in AUTO. I never saw that when under 650. I wonder if its some sort of high temp shut off??? Its always shut the blower off when the stove is cold, say under 200.
Overall pretty happy. Wish it was in enamel though. It really is a dust magnet with that rough painted finish.
Oh and the ash drawer sucks donkey! I wish that was a better system. The ash hole in the ash lip[ (under the door) is pretty clever and I use it a lot, but the main ash hole in the firebox is awful.
And I still never received a call back from them after leaving a message. I hope that doesnt speak to their future customer service.
I bought my T6 in September and emailed PE to see if I could get the grille and they said it wasn't available. Bummer for me, but I still love the stove.Do they even offer the Grille as an upgrade?
Wonder what the motivation was to get rid of it? The T6 is far from a budget stove.

That could very well be. It may be expanding and loosing contact with the surface it is mounted too. May be as simple as a loose mounting screw, hopefully.I just flipped it over to manual.
Last night it flipped off when the STT was 500.
Ill crawl in behind the stove when the weather warms and take a look around. Since the thermo is working, just inconsistently, I suspect its a contact issue and it's not reading right.
