Hey everyone. New guy here and this is my first post. Long story short, my wife and I are trying to find a way to heat an entire level of our house by upgrading our wood burning fireplace insert to a pellet burning fireplace insert. An installer came by today and we talked about Harman models. They sound great, but I would only want to drop that kind of money if I knew that it could heat multiple rooms on the same level (about 2,000 or so square feet). The installer suggested running our HVAC fan to circulate the Harman heat throughout the whole level. That may or may not work (I’m a little skeptical). For what it’s worth, the installer wasn’t trying to sell me on any particular brand. He said that he would install whatever we choose to buy. And he doesn’t sell them himself. He was just talking about some of the higher end systems that he has experience with. Is it really possible to heat a whole house level with a Harman pellet insert? I hope I don’t sound too ignorant here. Thanks!

A pellet stove is a space heater, not a whole-house furnace but it depends on your homes layout
The more open it is the easier to heat. it also depends on the tightness of your home
Some people can heat their home with one while others like me can't
Harman makes a good stove I would suggest you look at the Envrio M55 Cast Iron
with an output of 55thousand BTUs and in a well-insulated home will heat 2500 sq.ft
At 78% efficiency.

Im using an Enviro Maxx its heating great at 1 & 2 🤪

Tried the HVAC Fan on. Waste of time and money. Couple of box fans bring Cold Air Into the room with Pellet Stove does the job far better. 74f in hall, 60f in Laundry Room way down the hall. 70f in Bedroom. 2000sq ft house without counting the basement rooms. (Utility and Exercise room). 25f this AM with forecast of 8f Sunday Night.

Heating a 1,400 square foot house with a PP130. 73 in "stove room", 71 in hallway/dining kitchen, and about 65 in bedrooms! Good enough for me. No HVAC fan. Just one tower fan on low blowing from dining area towards stove to draw heat out.

Heating with Harman P 43C for 3rd year. 1500 sq ft. ranch . Stove at one end of house ( living room ) , fan on a table behind stove, blows warm air down whole length of house. 71F in living room = mid 60's in bedroom at teens outside .
