thermometer is at 12o'clock or higher (on the BK thermometer).
Looking at your picture above when the needle gets to about 1 O'clock the cat should have a dull glow to it. I frequently see the needle on mine pointing to the m in Columbus, then the cat is really glowing.

Yours goes almost all the way around? Mine never gets past the middle of the word active, the cats always glowing bright red though and its throwing some serious heat. I know when it was first in the needle would get stuck at about the 11 oclock position, it wasnt seated properly but I thought I fixed that. Maybe my thermo needs recalibrating

LTB your off the scale, can you pull it out and let it cool to room temp and see where your pointer is at. Might as well give the probe a clean. I bet your cool temp pointer is set to high.....I e-mailed Chris at BK to get the word on the temp deal.
