Again, I am humbled by the realization that we left-coasters don't really know what cold is.

Hey, how many people would like to give Al Gore a slap right about now? Greenhouse effect my @$$!

21 now here in SE NY, getting down to 13 tonight. First time last night, I had the stove set on medium all night.

1 ton burned so far, 4 to go.

Al Gore, yeah, I'll pay extra to be first in line to slap him, and then kick him in the a**.

Keep in mind everyone, it's not "Global Warming" anymore, it's "Climate Change", that covers all bases, hot or cold.

leave the nice Democrats alone. They are here to help and will show us the way. Balmy 28 degrees outside but 17 last night. both stoves running on 2 of 5 kept it at an average of 70.

Take Paypal? I just got a second stimulus check so it is free diesel in the big truck. Book me 4 loads I am coming.

No new taxes for small business? RIGHT.

Eric

My "stimulus" check paid half my propane bill from last year.

35F outside and dropping...

-18C right now, should be up to +9 and rain by Wednesday.

+2 here in Mass on the VT border. My house is at 1000ft and didn't get above 15 today. Wife turned the stove down this morning when she left and the house was 62 when I got home around 8pm.

11F at the moment, headed to 5F. Outside. 69 inside. I think my stove is my new best friend. :-)

man it got cold here in Maine last night. down to 2 degrees, with WC it was well below zero. nice in my house though :) about 76 downstairs in family room(where stove is) and about 69-70 on first floor. its even 65 upstairs in the hallway. damn, i love my stove :)

It got down to -8F last night. It had warmed up to 5F by the time I left for work.

My diesels are cringing thinking about that. Although surprisingly, they have always started...

I drive a diesel car and last year it got down to -30F and I was worried it wouldn't start but it popped right off. I was actually more worried that the fuel would start to gel since the diesel up here is only treated for -10F.

We hit about+6 last night, and unfortunately the stove ran out of pellets. I've got to line the hopper with that aluminum tape, there had to be about 20 lbs left in the 60 lb hopper. Nothing like losing 1/3 of your heating potential!

+8F was the lowest it got last night in SouthEast corner of NH

It was still a little breezy, I had my Englander at 6,6 (first time ever needed higher then a 3,3 at night) And it kept the back part of my house at about 68F, the front part of my house was at 60F which must have been maintained a little by the oil furnace.

I am still struggling to get the house a little more even with the heat, the stove is placed right in the middle of a long single floor older ranch, the front of the house has no plumbing so i don't worry about it, but the thermostat for the furnace is over there, so everytime it kicks on it heats the whole house. i think I need two fans to help create some air movement between the two sides.

last night(-8 with WC) was the first night that i used more then my normal 1bag+/- a day. lol. i used almost 2 bags in a 24 hour period but my home was nice and toasty. 76 in basement family room and 70 upstairs, as well as 66 on second floor :)

A heat wave of 34F today. Going down to 24 tonight.

Look out all you New Englanders !! The heat wave is coming your way.

32 last night, I think it will be 32 tonight. Whitfield #2 feed #3 Fan 71 inside

All of you guys on here are just so damn funny. We are at the bottom of our 3rd ton and just switched over from pennington pellets to freedom fuel. It was -22 degrees last night and 7 above this morning. -10 expeced tonight. We shall see how the new pellets work out.

Happy to be of entertainment value. ;)

Grew up in So Cal, moved to Nor Cal 22 years ago. I cannot imagine what -22F is like.

36F here right now at 8:30PM, it will probably drop to freezing just before daybreak.

-22F? Dayum.

3degrees and forecast for minus 15 tonight. High of 5-10 tomorrow. Have used 140 bags of pennington and just now put 2 bags of freedom fuel in the hopper. We shall see how they do tonight. Stay warm!!

It was 55* F at 9 PM last night on the CT shoreline and 56* F when I got up this morning at 4:30 AM... Pretty weird since it was 15* 24 hours earlier. Too bad this warm weather won't last long.
