high-cfm blower-not the belt driven kind
My 2 cents...go with a 4 or 5 speed model blower, use low for the heat and high for the A/C if you have it. (or something like that) That works great for me, blower is constantly cycling on/off if I leave it on high speed for heat, drives me crazy!

will definitely check into that with my guy! thanks B.

Have you checked your flue temps in all this?

Without doing that, along with measuring duct temps (and measuring draft with a manometer - and maybe also duct pressures), you're kind of still shooting in the dark at what the problem might be.

Good luck.

gonna go with a variable speed blower for heat/air. my guy said he already planned on it.
hard to get the flue above 310 degrees(2 thermometers mounted next to each other on the flue).Today after a thorough cleaning of furnace and chimney it actually got quite comfortable in here after a few hours of burn. outside temps were about 32 to 35 today.we'll see with the new blower, upstairs duct and enlarging several other runs. happinin monday mornin. stay tuned!
