GARY24NASCAR said:Finally spoke with Steve Arnold. He corrected any confusion for me regarding sleeve bearings compared to sealed ball bearings and stated his Engineering only recommends sealed ball bearings to withstand heat. I was informed to call customer service for referencing my part. Lady said it's a Fasco D207 which I think is really only the motor. Then the WW Grainger PN 3M084.
No other alternative. I asked if something was maybe changed for that part or manufactured differently in it's recent history and was told no.
Looks like I'll be lubing this one and see if it helps (with the correct oil). Although, reading through all other posts it doesn't appear to resolve it.
Otherwise, people would be stating to clean and oil it 1,2,3 or 4 times a season (whatever) and nothing is wrong with the blower and just basic maintenance is required.
Don't order the D207 from Fasco! That is a 230 Volt motor and would do squat for ya! The Grainger number is non existent. Like I said they really want you to go to your local dealer and buy the replacement. I didn't think they would give you any real info to run with!
Another thing I don't like about the blower you have pictured is the plastic blower wheel. Plastic and heat don't agree. They also slip on the motor shaft and hit the housing. Hopefully geek can post his info from the NPS45. And its the newest motor with the c-frame motor. I also hope it has an aluminum blower wheel.
