The 2110 manual recommends the use of a flue probe thermometer to assure that the stove is running within its limits...

My 2110 manual recommends a magnetic stovepipe thermometer but we ended up installing double-walled pipe due to tight clearances so I figured one of those would be inaccurate.

I'm definitely going to get some type of thermometer now. Do you folks recommend one on the stove top or a flue probe? Any particular brands or models that are better?

I just wanted to report that I installed the new draft reducer, replaced the door seals, added a stove top thermometer and have fired the stove up a couple times so far.

The thermometer shows the "Best Zone" as 400-650::F so I'll be sure to keep it within that range from now on.

Thanks for all your help!

Good to hear that you are up and running again. That's a great stove. Don't be too concerned if the thermometer occasionally goes up briefly to 700 with a fresh load of wood. As long as it's normally cruising around 450-650F you should be fine.
