greetings , recently acquired our family's stove bought in the mid 70's. it has minimal use but along the way someone painted over the grey enamel.
not quite sure how to remove the paint so thought id ask here before I tried anything . one thought was using buffing compound with a Dremel tool in a small area . any ideas or suggestions welcome .

Picture? Was it spray or brush painted? The type of paint needs to be determined. Try a few different paint removers in a discrete location to determine the paint type. Laquer thinner and acetone are two to try.
