Is it possible that the control board could just be in some kind of manual "maintenance" mode forcing the burner to run?
try the port right below it that says common hot 24The common is on the top port which is marked as common
I'm going to try and explain this as simple as possible. Take the r and w put it on the right on user 24VaC take that common wire and take it to the left side and try it on the second one down from the top it says hot24 if that doesn't power it than leave it where it is and take a little piece of wire and make a jump that goes from the 24hot where the common wire is and run that jumper straight up to the next one that says common.Brenndatomu,
I have no idea
Wisneaky,
When I disconnect the R from the 24v hot port, The only way I can get the Tstat to power up is if the R is connected to the top port of the wood Tstat 24v. It doesn't power up on the user Tstat 24
It is just not the way it works. The right side needs both the r and w to call for heat.I guess I'm confused as to why the C can't be hooked into the 24 common port and the R into the Hot port on the left side. Isn't that what those terminals want. C wants common and R wants hot. That just leaves W which should go into the user Tstat 24V on the right
I think something is wrong than. try to send an email to [email protected] or call 418-878.3040I did exactly what you said and got nothing.
You tried a jumper from Common to hot 24 and left the common wire from the thermostat to one of the two at the same time?Like I said when the C is hooked to Common and the R is hooked to Hot24 the tstat turns on. But I can't tell is using a jumper will work or not cause the oil burner just keeps on running.
I'll pm you.

Sorry wasn't thinking clearly today. Stupid me.This is a direct short. once you let the smoke out, it does not go back in.
