Well, we finally pegged the flue guard (it goes up to 1600F on it) thermometer and got her glowing a little red on the cook top. I just loaded it and the kids got me distracted, the wife caught it and we shut it down quick, it was probably only that hot for a few minutes.

Anything to worry about long term?

I attached the photo I took of her glowing.

If you didn't hear a weld pop, and you would have heard it down the block, it should be fine.
