laxin213, Thanks for posting a link to that portable winch. I never knew such a thing existed.
yes, very cool.

Good idea but it has its limitations:Why not get in a couple of High school kids or a Hispanic day worker...pay them minimum wage and move a bunch of wood to that deck for you.
By the time you mess around buying anything...you'll still have to move the wood.
Accept you're not physically fit enough and hire some cheap help. America is now the land of cheap labor.
Thanks for all the replies and ideas. The gorilla cart is very cool looking, but I have steps up both the back door and front door. I ended up getting the jet sled jr on Amazon for $30, with Amazon prime for free shipping.
This paragraph is about Amazon, if you don't care , skip this paragraph. Something most people don't know is that 4 households can share 1 prime membership. They ask you their birthday and you need their email, after that you can add them. They pay on their account and nothing changes for either of you. I have both my sisters and my parents as part of our prime account. So it's $99 a year / 4 families so for $25 each a year you all get free shipping. It's a great deal.
Anyways, the wood taking in on the jet sled jr has worked great. The jr size holds a bin and is really easy to move. The extra rope length makes sliding it up the stairs easy. The only lifting I do is to stack it near the door. Working out well. Thanks again
I just bought this Gorilla Cart from Lowe's to get my wood from the garage to the other side of the house. I used to fill bins and carry. This is much easier.....so much that the kids are doing it most of the time now. View attachment 147939
It holds over a 1000 lbs, I can tow it behind the quad, and it dumps. The only problem is the tires smell of a heavy rubber smell. I can't wait for it to dissipate.
Hey, that's a good idea. Did you bolt on the straps or weld. How thick are the metal straps?View attachment 151337 I built the frame for this cart in a few minutes last winter. The cart works great but can get heavy enough my wife can't get it up the steps.
