I'm gonna get a big kick out of Lowes selling Somersets for the same cost as Inferno's. Just another Premiem grade pellet.
I agree with that and we should pass the word to people we know who are regular trollers on this forum to do the same. I wonder if Lowes is doing this trying to see what they can sell now that we are coming to the burning season. It will be interesting to see if they run the same discount / special next summer that they ran in August this year.Maybe we should all boycott Greene teams from lowes until they get the hint and drop the prices.
i wonder if lowes is getting the same price wholesale for each brand. most stores have a standard markup from wholesale. so if they cost lowes more, the would then cost us more in retail. that said were this the case and the GT's dont move off the shelves lowes isnt going to buy them at that price next time. just my 2 cents.
interesting subbie, not an answer i would have wanted to hear personally.
i was just asking the question, not picking sides. just wanted to see if there was any actual pricing reason involved.
good on ya subbie for posting your conversation.
...or ask Lowes for a price match if you really want the Lowes ones. After all they both think all pellets are all the same, right?I'm curious if you have any Home Depot stores near you that you could go to instead of Lowes? I know the HD's down here are selling Stove Chow at $209/ton - they have been at this price for about 3 weeks if not longer and they are advertising the Lowes price right in front of the pallets.

Yup they are trying to kill the local dealer. That's why I will continue to buy from my local shop so long as service remains good and I can afford what they are selling.Well, Lowe's is my competition, so, Im sur ethey are $crewing everyone , but, maybe its simply the Green Team's cost them more in landed cost? Hey, there's options out there folks....you dont have to support the big boxes...shop elsewhere. Imagine how much pellets will be when they put all the competition out of business?
well saidYup they are trying to kill the local dealer. That's why I will continue to buy from my local shop so long as service remains good and I can afford what they are selling.
