Really a great looking stove wish I had one, You might want to get a surge protector unless its hidden from view.

bigruckus, where did you order the surge protector from? I got to get a good one as I only have one of the strip type now. That looks like a good one.

I put a surge protector on my stove because I had one. My oil furnace is electronic, you know codes with flashing lights, it's hard wired, but I never worried about it.

I had a whole house surge protector installed on my electric panel this summer
and also have a surge protector on the stove and all the computers.

Bigruckus, your friends bar sounds a little blue. (: I bet there is free beer tomorow! Anyway, I had the parlour 3000 and the new england pellets and the ones from athens maine seemed to work great. And, Arthur York will deliver them right to where you want them. I heated with mine for 5 or six years. I did have alot of trouble with mine though, and am now back to burning wood. I hope yours works out for you. And you will have to clean it every 3-4 days. But they are great looking stoves and will throw some heat. Your best next purchase will be a good ash vacuum, like the cheetah.

Free beer tomorrow...yea right!!...I love cleaning this stove takes me around 15 minutes....it keeps me busy and I enjoy working around the house. I'm impressed with the MWP..they burn very clean and I've had no clunkers...will have to try the Athen pellets....Aurther was a little higher...$30 more per ton...so I ended up buying them at Galen's..still had to go get them...that took me about an hour to get them and to unload them...so it was worth the $90 I saved. I bought a Clevas ash vacuum from Nortehrn...cost me $81 shipped...I have used it 5 times and seems to work great...I'll keep my fingers cross..

81$ for the ash vac is a great price. I picked up a cheetah from galen when I got the stove. It was pricey. 240$ seems to be stuck in my head.
