whoa. Damn lolWell I had my F55 over 900 once (accidently) and no harm done. I don't plan on doing it again, but it's nice to know the stove can take the abuse if accidents happen.
I like my wood 18% or less and it's tough to get Oak that dry in 2 yrs, especially if it was cut fresh, unless I split really small. I split medium and try to leave it 3 yrs. The splits ring like a bell when I knock 'em together.about 20% MC and seasoned about 1 1/2 years...My neighbors all laughed when I was collecting wood a year and a half ago with no stove but I think they get it now.
