My cat must have been playing in my stacks today too! I took a walk up to my stacking area tonight and I saw a big pile of splits on the ground, I thought it was odd since I only had a small pile earlier in the day, turns out one whole row fell forward. The stacks face south and they've really dried out since I stacked them a month ago. I checked on my stack of pine, I picked up a split and it weighed about 2 ozs, those really get light when dry.

That reminds me of our cat growing up she would always bring her catch to the door for the " presentation" before consumtion

Yep...next project for me too...4 rows deep and about a foot of space in between each row to let air get in there. Welp 3rd row in decides to fall inward on the other 2 rows...what a mess. I have to dig it all out and start over. ( about 6 cords to re-stack) I think this time I wont stack it so high...maybe 4 to 5 feet high instead of 6.

My stack that fell over was only 5 feet high, I was going to go higher but maybe Ill keep it right where it is, it was a shaky stack job to begin with, I knew it from the beginning but didnt feel like taking it down and doing it over, I did a better job second time around.
