Is this the Roxul everyone is using?

yeah, I used a bag of safe-n-sound in the wall between the stove and my son's room (for sound and fire break), and comfortbatt elsewhere, including some interior wall spaces where the "leftovers" / cuts were used up (a tiny bit of sound break + nothing went to the dump).

Going to be insulating the top part of the liner inside the flue and also stuffing some in the smokeshelf and about the damper block-off plate

Do you have any insulation between the top and the bottom?
You can pour in Perlight from the top after you get the smoke shelf packed real well with Roxul.
