I apologize if this is a dumb question.

I apologize if this is a dumb question.

To me it looks like a lazy flame, and possibly too high a flame. I would say not enough combustion air. Does your control board have the adjustment POT? If so, turn it to full speed and see the difference. If you can check the air flow coming into the combustion air inlet that would be good too. I have a 3 inch outside air pipe attached going into another vented room, and I have some suction if I put my hand over it. If you don't have outside air then get at the outside air pipe and check PS Check the Flapper. Probably if you look up the leaf blower thread that may help

Welcome to the form
Scrapping the pot is only part of a pellet stove's maintenance
All passages have to be cleaned. Ash is emoved by a vacuum or
the leaf blower trick. A lazy black-tipped fire is a sign of a dirty stove
A clean stove is a happy stove

Spent about 2 hours cleaning it. Can't do the leaf blower trick due to my roof being extremely icy at the moment, but thoroughly cleaned everything I could get to without pulling the stove out. Went around the back (accessible from my garage) and cleaned the exhaust port from the other side, too.

That seems to have helped quite a bit, basically running perfectly right now.
Or is it? Flame too high?

Is the pot itself removable? I sort of expect it to be, but anything is possible. Does anyone know how to remove it? Several of the air holes are plugged such that I just can't poke through with an allen wrench.

I don't know the exact size but a drill bit by hand would go through the holes, you will see a marked improvement with the holes open

Install Manual - F. Firebox Draft and Combustion Fan RPM These units are pre-tested at the factory with exactly 120 VAC,60 Hz. They are checked and adjusted for firebox tightness, gasket leakage, motor operation and igniter operation. The Accentra52i-TC is then factory set at a mid-point adjustment and in most cases will not need any adjustments

The install Manual also has a breakdown of the parts if you want to unbolt the firebox. I have never done this as mine is almost brand new (P43). The cleaning video might be of help. I would be checking the airflow/negative air pressure. Most don't have the tool to measure the pressure but you can make one with a piece of clear tubing

which is what I did. According to your manual you might have a screen (dealer only) where you can adjust the combustion fan, or if you have the control card it is a POT.
