Just finally got my thermostats installed yesterday. I keep leaving the heaters on as I didn't get a timer going although
I'd still like to have one as well as the thermostats.
The heaters were on sale and cheap $24CAD each. 1500W 120V (regular price $49CAD Princess Auto)
Installed 2 new 15A breakers in my 200A panel, ran 14/3 to a 4 Way 240V Switch (two circuits) which is on the porch wall.
From there I run to a split plug (split like a kitchen plug). I leave the switches on the heaters on all the time.
I just installed 2 electric heater thermostats. Used 1/2 conduit. If you are think about adding some heat this is good. They are
radiant quartz heaters so you can use them in the winter. They were so cheap I bought them for the garage too.

One thing to watch on these is the cords are underrated and get hot after long term use. Also why did you mount the thermostats on the ceiling heat rises so the heat will be shutting off before the lower area gets to temp?

I do know that they say not to use extension cords with them, but I am plugged in. Should be 12.5A. I will see how hot they get. Well to be honest I wanted to mount them on the house wall at about mid height but I only had a little bit of wire left and a little piece of conduit. I am playing with the settings right now to see what would work best. I really wanted a timer, but I would have needed a special timer as it's two high power 15A circuits I need to switch. I have a 600V contactor I could use, but need to get a metal box and install it next to my panel. Then I'd use one of my smart wifi plugs to drive the coil.
Also, I should have mentioned that the porch is uninsulated. I only turn the heaters on before I go out, then I try to shut them off when I come back in. I don't like to discover that I left them on $$$$. The thermostats I will only have at maybe 10C.
