Davidmsem, don't ever discount the advice of have dry wood, I know you hear it all the time here. You will never learn your stove unless you burn seasoned wood, unseasoned wood will leave you disappointed and doubting your stoves heating ability.

Yes! Less than 20% moisture content.....I have much work to do top get ahead on my wood supply, but I will get there.....

We have a Maine Coon that thinks he is a dog! Guy will be very happy I hope! And the shed, I got those plans here and that turned me on to the idea of an insert. At 54 few things get me excited and this had been one! What a great place!

Just curious, on your 3rd post it shows the liner coming through the block off plate with the appliance adapter all ready to be hooked up to the insert, then you mention they installed 2 45's. Did the Roxul prevent them from using the appliance adapter, to much of an angle?

The installer first tried to make it work with the adapter, but it was the angle of the old damper area that forced him to use the two 45s, not the Roxul or the block off plate. This is what I was told.

Makes sense, I would rather see 30's but 45's are better than an offset box.
