Overfeeding of pellets into the burnpot on startup can cause slow starts for Harmans. If you on average run a shorter pellet that tends to overfeed on startup changing the dip switch settings on the board to a shorter charge time can greatly help. Try starting the stove, and if it fills up past the first or second row of air holes take a handful out and see if it lights faster. Also as others have said a clean igniter is essential too.
 
Interesting. This AM, my wife turned our stove on, lit off in 5-1/2 minutes (NOT a post-cleaning startup), 1/3 the time of the last ignition. As always, Hamers pellets. I can do a search on "changing the dip switch settings on the board to a shorter charge time" but -- as always -- apprehensive about messing with the settings. Might try scooping out some pellets, the pot always seems to be so full when starting...
