What ever you decide on how to deal with trespassers be careful, ending up in court is better than ending up with a bullet in your head. Sad, so many crazy people out there.
Yes ,the peeps that steal have all the rights,after having 2 snowmobiles stolen i set up a connibear 330 beside my sled but removed it after been told I would be in big trouble.still would have been nice to maim a thief.

Our justice system is FUBAR.
 
This young guy didn't even prosecute. Do like he did - obvious cameras and at least one hidden camera. It saved him.

Where does that guy live to have that many people stealing his chit? No way would I not prosecute.....

Most thieves are not going to file a lawsuit. It's only the rare ones where somebody really gets hurt. Most thieves are idiots who steal out of opportunity and try to stay in the shadows, like rodents.

I absolutely would bury something to damage and disable their vehicle.
