12 or so between two stoves, mainly trying diff pellets and its been getting pretty cold over night

Thats insane. It's not even cold down there yet. Isn't it cheaper to run the heat pump?
It may very well be, but we like the heat and got a very good deal on pellets this year. I also have a large house to heat, so we are letting the heat pump and furnace lay low and let the stove do all the work. About half a ton is normal for us in October, then we go to 50-60 bags per month for the cold months. My yearly usage is 5-6 tons.

I think my buddy in VA. JUST turned his central AC off yesterday lol.... Because 65-75 in the afternoons wasn't bad.....
 
About 6 bags for the month. Stove ran on lowest setting part time to keep temp up so the wife is happy.
