Sugar maple. Congratulations on a great score. We don't get the stuff here but I burned it when we lived up north. It is fine wood and should be ready in a year if the splits aren't too big and you stack in a sunny windy locale.

Thanks! I split a bit today, but I've got to cut down the majority of logs to splittable lengths before I can go much further. Can't wait to try it...late 2014 of course!
