Help diagnosing problem on Astria Aries Direct Vent fireplace

To check and see if the valve solenoid is good, take a 9 volt battery and take off the orange wire. touch one pole of the battery to the spade on the solenoid and then touch the other pole to the valve metal. If you hear a click the solenoid is good. No click means that it is bad normally.
