Harmon XXV blowing internal fuse

Hello,
Thank you for any advice you can offer to fix this issue.
I have a Harmon XXV. The early model with chain drive. I started a few weeks ago and it has been running fine.
Then it blew an internal fuse. I checked all the wires and didn't see and chased. I replaced the fuse the stove lights ca.e on the combustion fan came on and the fuse blew again.
I disconnected the combustion fan and put in another fuse. The new fuse didn't blow. I removed the fan and did an Ohms test. The results were all around 1 rotating the fan slowly.
I directly connected to the fan to power and it ran fine.
I tested the drive motor by directly connecting it to power and it worked fine. Put it all back together and blew another fuse.
With the fan disconnected I placed the stove in test mode but because the combustion fan is disconnected the test stops after the distribution fan.

I'm thinking it is the combustion fan even though it works directly connected. Before I buy a new one I wanted to get others option.

Before getting a new fan I would test both wires
also, Does the fan run free when installed make sure
it does not rub on anything when installed

When you say test both wires are you referring to an Ohms test?
The wires seem ok as the motor runs when directly connected to power.
It does spin free when installed no rubbing, no unexpected noise., grinding etc.
