Hello
I must say this is a very strange problem that I have never seen before! Has anyone else seen this issue?
The Harman Advance is 48k BTUs so not that small in BTUs to really need the gummy fix but still it may benefit with it.
In this case I just resolved an issue with the metal top made before 2004. There was no 6 blink error until an updated control board was installed. That helped give a good clue!
The symptoms were that on startup it took much longer than normal to fill up the burnpot and it would run for an hour or so and then the fire would die out and the stove would quit!
This happened in both Stove Temp Mode and Room Temp mode.
Replacing the the vacuum switch and auger motor and ESP probe did not make any difference! Also cleaning out the pellets in the hopper and checking for foreign objects like a leaf I found once causing a similar issue did not help. We even tried the auger friendly pellets that were not too long too!
The fix here seemed to be 2 fold.
1. The slow burnpot fillup on startup.
2. The fire dying out and the stove quitting within an hour.

Part 1 - slow burnpot charge
We removed the fines box cover and cleaned it out. It was about 1/4 full. Then removed the slide plate and cleaned that, even though it was not too dirty or gummy. Although the fines box has not been cleaned or checked in a very long time for this stove!! However that seemed to be the fix!
After that we started the stove and the burnpot filled with pellets normally and it heated the room right up to 72 degrees warm and toasty!
We have seen a lot of issues but this we never saw before! These Harmans are very good stoves but like anything else they just need some good TLC!!
Part 2 - Fire dies out within an hour.
Another member with the exact same problem who took out the slider plate and lubed that and the pusher arm. That helped a lot but found the pusher arm was worn and the roller actually skipped when pushing up the arm so the slide plate did not open all the way so the burnpot got less and less pellets and died out! A new Pusher Arm fix the problem!
This was not our problem but that said we should checkout our pusher arm!
It seems that cleaning the fines box and slide plate and spraying the slide plate so it moves in and out like butter just helped the burnpot fill up faster on startup. The stove still shut down after an hour or so with the status 6 blinks error.
So after the stove ran again a video was made of the pusher arm and chain in motion.
As soon as I saw this video I could see the problem!
