I have a harman accentra insert giving me some issues with a 3 blinks error. When the error appears the stove goes into overdrive and is dropping pellets every 10 seconds. I also just noticed on this iteration of the error that the feed motor light was not turning out during the over dropping of pellets. It does normally turn on under normal operation.

It seems to be pretty intermittent as unplugging it for a long period of time(hours, normal ~30 second reset does not do the trick) seems to relieve the issue. I pulled the stove out and cleaned the ESP a couple weeks ago. It did have some ash and such on it that easily came off and I did not notice any kinks or issues with the wire.

My local vendor was kind enough to lend me his DDM and oddly enough it appears the the ESP is reading appropriately. It read room temp during start up, ~450F during normal operation, and then when the error appeared it went up to 572F when the stove was running too hot. It is also showing a decreasing temperature as the stove is cooling down with the error still present.

Some history: I've had the stove since 2021 when we bought our house(it was already here, not sure when it was installed). The board right off the bat was sporadically blowing the 6A fuse. That has continued, other than a stretch from 11/2023 - 2/2025. I did recently have the feed motor and ignitor replaced as well. The error started a week or 2 after those components were installed. I have the stove cleaned every year and maintain my weekly and monthly cleanings consistently.

Any thoughts about what is going on? I was leaning towards a board issue given the history and the DDM data makes me firmly believe that's the case.

Have you replaced the ESP yet or checked the wiring from it to the board? If the voltage from probe goes out of whac probably for even a short time ( a second?) then you might get the fault. The 6A fuse blowing does not mean that the board is bad, but more likely something attached to it is bad (not the probe though, something like a motor or wiring short). However the issues you have with the feed motor do sound like a control card issue. Depending on what you have on the feed dial the feed motor/feed light on time should be very predictable. ie on for 12 seconds, off for 48. I don't know if a bad ESP probe signal can make it act differently than that?

3 Blinks: Indicates that the ESP (Exhaust Sensing Probe)has failed, has a broken connection, or has gone out of range too many times. This requires a manual reset*
After reading your problem, I think you are over firing your stove (over heat)
I am not a Harman man, but that's where I would start, could be something as simple as an
ash-filled stove. Try doing a full cleaning from air intake to exhaust termination
