Haraman XXV installed, finally! pics, with new venting

Fired it up last night, worked flawlessly. The venting was a little more work but it turned out looking the way I wanted it to. It is 4" steel pipe, 3/16in walls, with 90's at the top and bottom, a 4x6 steel reducer at the top, flared at the bottom, welded seams, thread-a-let access hole for cleanout with 1/4 NPT reducer for true EGT prope (not exhaust pipe temp), need to order a guage still though. Weighs about 25lbs! Was a fun project, took 2-3hrs or so.

For the stove itself, this is my first pellet stove. The auto ignite impressed me. The dynamic blower control that varies on its own based on room and exchanger temp somehow is very slick. You can hear the auger a little, the fan is top quality though. Much quieter than my room to room fan in the wall that you can see in the pics. I plan to hook up the fresh air intake through the wall into the other room for circulation. More feedback to come, I track kW, wood, pellet, and oil usage by month and graph it. So we will see what happens with the pellet stove. Yep, I am a tad anal.

If anyone has tips on running this thing, let me know. It has a few more knobs than my old VC Resolute!

Thanks. I am going to unscrew the cap that the exhaust temp guage threads into and run a brush down it (and up to the flue from there as well), then just slide a soot vac down into the bottom 90. I thought about an actual T, like the dura-vent kits come with, but wanted the flow of the 90 and a less messy cleanout method. Figured I'd always end up using a vac anyways, but that is the downside, now I am forced to use a vac....
