Sitting here thinking this morning after i purchased a smart watch. I have not used a watch in 30 years since cell phones became small enough to carry. SO im going in a complete circle now going back to wearing a watch since i now rely so much on tech. With work i always have something going on and usually leave my cell phone on my desk and miss my notifications for meetings and such. Figured i should get something that will not sit on my desk and get forgotten about. Sorta miss the days if im not home or at my desk then so be it you can't get ahold of me..LOL

Same with me.
I was hanging mini blinds yesterday and got a call from my son on my smartwatch. He had a question about a friend's car that he was working on.
I was able to talk while continuing my work. My phone was downstairs so I would have missed the call otherwise.

After getting a cassette recorder answering machine in the 1980s, it was rare for me to ever answer the phone. 40 year later, not much has changed. My cell-phone spends the vast majority of time on top of the kitchen counter. Only when I venture out to the store is the phone at hand . . . if I don't have the phone, my wife is sure to call (-;

X2.
And also miss if someone can't get hold of you for a few hours, it didn't cause a huge panic! A message was left and you just waited on a return call...or called back later...NBD!

yes miss those days of leave a msg..LOL.. i swear most days my phone is glued to my ear. I use it mostly for work and seem to spend 90% of my day on both my phones. Sad part of this is i should not be answering the phone as i have other things to do but since i give 110% customer service everyone asks for me or i see the staff sitting their watching the phone ring.

This is why i like camping i stay out of cell phone range and its so quiet..

When I retired I took the SIM card and battery out of my cell phone
SIM card broke into four battery returned for recycling and the phone
just think what a 3 lb hammer can do. Now just a home phone ( not an expensive landline) with
an answering machine. Wife has a cell phone but no DATA. If somebody
wants me, come over or call and leave a message. Maybe I'll call you back
