When I was checking TSC online for my area, the 22 ton is listed for $999. My listing shows B&S engines, the 28 ton had the Honda engine. I thought that most people did not like the B&S engines??
I just bought a mower with my first honda engine. I heard they run quieter. Its just as loud as my B&S mower. Nothing special. Not sure if they are any better on splitters perhaps others can comment.

If it won't fit in the ram assembled, I will get it in the box, thanks guys...

if i had to take mine down the highway it would be on the sled trailer securely strapped tight, towed it a few items, never over 35.. definitely top heavy

The mower itself makes most of the noise. Generally the little GC Hondas are pretty darn quiet compared to other options but all newer engines have gotten much quieter in the last 10 years or so.

Yep, I realized that the day I brought home my honda which allowed me to disengage the blade while the motor is running. Engine is pretty quiet but the bulk of the noise is clearly from the mower deck itself.

Do they have the log catcher free in your area ?
Are U gonna buy one ? I'm jealous :p
I get email sales from TS and I keep an eye on the splitters cuz ,one of these days I will have a 22 ton. :)

Anybody within driving distance of 12566 and in the market for a splitter? The Huskee 22ton unit is on sale for $999 until Sept 27th.

Everybody else..... Check your local TSC!

A fan favorite. Only encountered the one piece of wood that was so twisted and knarled that I backed off. Not worth a splitter when you can noodle it to size.
