FYI: Timer to turn on 25 pdvc stove

We always clean when we leave for the weekend, not always vacuum but empty the ash pot and put a few pellets in the pot near the igniter for faster startup when we return. My application is not ideal, no cell service or internet, so my plan is to set the timer when we leave for the next time we plan to return normally the next weekend, down side if we have a change of plans there is no way to stop the timer and then the next trip we arrive to a cold cabin and one less bag of fuel... I got all my parts working today, my timer will apply line voltage to my circuit, a PIC micro will output a signal for 1 second activating a relay then do nothing. Will connect it next weekend

Well, Got it hooked up this past weekend it seems to work just like I want tested it a few times. Cleaned it out before we left and set it to start up at 5pm this Friday, we should arrive about 8pm. The pictures in post #1 were the same as my controller it was also pins one and three for the "ON" button. I was going to figure out all the others buttons but the space I had to work with was not making it easy, I just soldered the wires to the base of the header above the black plastic base then plugged the keypad connector back on.

Sounds like a spiffy setup you have there . I took some time a week or two ago to map out the other pins on my 2008 25-PDV, I'm not sure if they are the same on all models, but here is the mapping for anyone interested:

(Ordered from bottom to top where "bottom" is the pin that is closest to the bottom of the stove)

1) AOT
2) LFF
3) LBA
4) Blower Down
5) Heat Down
6) Blower Up
7) Heat Up
8) Power On
9) Power Off
10) Ground

I wanted to chime in on this. I just installed this stove in my garage. Here is my ideas for accomplishing this.

I'm using a Honeywell wifi thermostat. Needs a 24 volt power supply for operation.

For turning the stove on remotely, I'm using a lan controlled 2 channel relay.

To help with the tapping into the header pins without wrapping a wire around the pin, I got these header pin extensions. This way I can cut and solder my remote wires in cleanly.
