Hi Everyone
I'm looking to get a woodstove for my 3400 sq ft house. It would be centrally located in our big room: kitchen, dining and living room is wide open. We also work at home and are there every dad so i would be in the house at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I absolutely want a stove that i can fill at say 9-10 pm and just rake coals forward at 7 am and itll take off. I also do not want a cat stove. Long and low is not what im looking for, as my wife likes it very warm in the winter ie 75 plus is ok and we are in the house a lot to refuel. Also really want to see the flames at night when we are all inside. I also have a lot of land to get our hardwood from, and already have a few winters stocked up. It will be mainly very seasoned oak.

I've done a good amount of research, and i really like the PE Alderlea T6. From what I've listed, can anyone make a better case for anything else? May sound like ive made up my mind, but I'm totally open to recommendations. I have 2 friends who have large, newer VC stoves and they are not very happy with them. Look beautiful but for a few reasons they are looking to replace them. Also have a family member who has a Blaze King. He loves it, does what he needs from it, but that style and performance is not ideal for me.

I had an old Kozy Komfort for 25 years and loved it, but since i moved i need a new one.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

For a non-cat, the Alderlea T6 is a good choice. Also look at the Jotul F55.
