Whew, riveting saga as I read through at 4am in the morn..

I'm thinking I need to look at a block off plate too, as the liner was installed running up an existing masonry chimney, and just a cap on the top to seal between outside and inside air space, which the installers said would be enough.

Didn't seem like that would be that good with 20 feet of chimney volume on an exterior chimney, and this story seems to indicate it isn't.

I'll have to see how to go about this myself.
